Are you in debt and want to get out? Is money a struggle for you? It is for me too. Come join me, and we’ll claw our way out of that hole together.
Time for a little story just for background. I love Hearth Witch on YouTube. She’s great. I have been following her since I became a witch, basically (which has only been about a year and a half of inconsistent practice…). I love so many of her videos, but the ones that I never miss are the ones that she does every month about new book releases coming up in that month. I am obsessed with these videos. Mostly because I love books, and I’m a sucker for this sort of capitalism, but partially because I am always looking for great witchcraft books beyond the endless (but not without merit) “beginner witchcraft” books. I have a few of those that I already prefer, and now I want more in-depth or specific information.
Anyway, this month (December 2025), I eagerly waited for the video to come out and watched it immediately. Well, as immediately as I could. I think I watched it the same day it was released, but later in the day. I added a lot of the books from November to my “Books I Need” list on Amazon, but December did not seem to be for me as much. Until Hearth brought up that there were two “prosperity” magic books coming out this month that were very different. She said that people would probably be wholly one book or another. That piqued my interest. And Hearth was right. The first of the two that came up was ok, but seemed pretty run-of-the-mill prosperity magic to me. Then the second one came up. Financial Sorcery by Jason Miller. I knew this was the book for me.
Now, I have previously read Consorting With Spirits by Jason Miller and thought it was ok, but it did not resonate with me as much as I was hoping. To be fair, I listened to the audiobook, and now I am starting to wonder if I should revisit that book in a physical or e-book form because, let me tell you, Financial Sorcery is all I could have hoped for and more.
To start, this book is not your regular prosperity/wealth magic book filled with an assortment of spells for different needs and situations. That might be a little unfair to prosperity magic books, as I’m sure there are many great ones, and I am sure I will want to branch out and use one in the future. But Financial Sorcery just hits so hard with its content. Obviously, there is a fair amount of prosperity magic addressed in it. It is, after all, a prosperity magic text. However, its approach is so well-rounded. The practical angle from which it approaches the subject of finances is so helpful (for me anyway. Everyone is different and all that.) Most books are going to tell you that you have to do the mundane work in addition to the magical in order to make anything happen with your finances. That is generally considered common sense among witches. Don’t forget the mundane tasks. But I feel like this book addresses the mundane and weaves it within the magical in a way that I have never seen another book do.
One of my favorite things about Financial Sorcery is that it addresses mindset alongside wealth-building. You can do all of the prosperity magic you want, but if your mindset does not change, your circumstances really won’t either. That is not to say that terrible poverty and circumstances can be addressed by mindset alone, but a proper mindset can be helpful to almost anyone. And a proper mindset is what I really need right now, and I did not even know it. I have been in a stuck mindset, and that is not serving me. I can make the changes that I need to and achieve my debt reduction and savings goals, but I’m not going to get anywhere if I just keep up the stuck mindset.
Beyond the subject of mindset, the way that Jason Miller explains everything is just really appealing to my brain. I’m not even all the way through the book, and I already felt that I had to write about it. I’m over halfway done, and I am so motivated to finish the rest. I definitely want to cultivate a prosperity practice around the advice in this book, and it makes me want to commit, and I mean actually commit, to getting myself out of debt (or at least significantly lower. I have been paying more than required on my mortgage, but not much more.)
So, that brings me back to my initial question for my readers (I know I don’t have many currently, but if you’re out there and reading this). Are you a witch in significant and/or debilitating debt? I am in a similar stage. You don’t have to be a witch or whatever label, either. I would love to hear from you and commiserate with you. But I am learning that we can all correct our mistakes. I know that we all have the power to get ourselves out of debt or into our other goals. Don’t give up hope. I, for one, will be making the journey to financial freedom and debt reduction my New Year’s… resolution? Adventure? Mindset? I have not figured out the right word for it yet, but it will be a focus of my new year. I have never really done a resolution before because I have always been skeptical of them, but I think now is a good time to start.
Let me know if you want to join me!
